AAsher got a new outfit for his 9 month birthday! He loved the shoes, but wasn't  so sure about the hat.......

He also got a new toy from his great aunt Kathy.

Wayllon had his first little league baseball game this weekend too. Fall ball and still over 100 degrees. Gotta love TEXAS!

Family trip to the Houston Zoo!

Daddy finally got a day off of work!! Yay!! Let's go to the zoo!! 104 degrees outside, but it's not too bad. Little bit of overcast and wind every now and then.
We get to the zoo and guess what....... everybody and their grandma had the same idea! LOL It took about 45 minutes of driving around and around and around to find a spot, which by the way was not a REAL parking spot, but oh well, we are going to park there anyway. (just what we need is ANOTHER ticket). It was well worth the trip though...........
Brittnie far left, Daddy and AAsher, Wayllon in red, Willy to the right and Brianna.

AAsher loves his Brianna! He really likes her glasses too!!
Brittnie and Wayllon. No, we can not bring the goat home...............
Willy and WayllonThe merry go round made AAsher sick :(
Brianna is 17.... Willy is 14..... I think Willy may be a tall boy.
                                                                        DADDY!!!!! WHAT IS THAT???
                                                                               Can I touch it?
                                                                                    Awe, it's soft :)
                                                                               Can I eat it daddy?
COME HERE GOAT!!!! Where are you going?
                                                                                Come back!!
I guess I will just eat my hands instead..... yumm, goats taste good!!!!

Something happened to me.....

I have to tell you all what happened to me the other day. I can't help but keep thinking about it and wondering...what does it mean? Is it a sign? Is God trying to tell me something? Am I supposed to do something? What???
I was on the Down Syndrome Association of Houston facebook page scanning for updates etc. and I see a post from a man who had just gotten a tattoo of a butterfly that had his son's name and some things about DS intermingled in the wings and things. I thought it was pretty and a good idea. Something I have often thought about doing myself, but anyway, the tattoo also contained a bible verse "Jeremiah 1:5". The man explained that the reference to the verse was something his mom had sent to him when they received the dx. I thought that I should look it up and just see what it said, because my bible verse memorization skills are not all that great anymore..... maybe later..... no time right now, I have a million other things to be doing. Surprisingly, I never got around to looking it up.
A few days later, 3 of the older children and I as well as AAsher were going to Wal-Mart for school supplies. We had to park at the back of the parking lot as usual, but that's ok, AAsher likes the ride. I unload the stroller and we proceed towards the store. All of the older kids were walking ahead of us. We get about halfway to the store and I hear this very loud, clanking sound directly behind me. Sort of sounded like metal or money/change of some kind hitting the ground and spinning around until finally it stopped. I turned to see... no one walking behind us or anyone for that matter, but what I did see shining in the sunlight was this round coin, like a mardi gras dubloon (sp). I hadn't seen that when I walked past earlier....... I would have had to have stepped right on that as would have all the kids........ someone would have definitely picked that up, especially my inquisitive 8 year old......... where did it come from? From the sound of it, it FELL from somewhere........... so, I go and pick it up.............. It reads "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. Jeremiah 1:5"                       WHAT????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I'm not sure what or where or why, but I have been carrying this silver coin around with me ever since...... A sign?

AAsher's first 8 months..... at OneTrueMedia.com

Sorry it's so long. Hope you enjoy!

New to this blog thing.............

Hi all!! As you will be able to tell, I am totally a newbie when it comes to this blogging stuff. I have been lurking and reading various blogs that people have from baby center and I have found it quite addicting. Sometimes they make me cry and sometimes they just make my day. I figured I would give it a shot...... Some of my friends have told me that my every day life could be a movie. I really don't think it's ALLLL that interesting, but it is eventful at times. Seems like there is always something going on around here. But hey, with 7 kiddo's, what can you expect right?? The first thing I want to do is upload my little AAsher's video that I made of his first 8 months. It has lots of pictures of the family and I think it may be a great place to start. It's kindof long.....sorry :-) I guess the next thing I need to do is finish my "about me", that way I can introduce you to myself and my absolutely wonderful family!! I will work on that.
