So, after I posted the pictures of AAsher and Gracie's playdate, I decided to do something cute for Felicia (Grace's mommy). I loved it so much I thought I would post it for all of you to see and enjoy as well :-)
Before our little AAsher came along, each day was a rush and taken for granted. He has taught us to slow down a bit and smell the flowers and pay attention to the small things.

AAsher's play"date" with Grace
First, make sure Kenny Chesney's song "You Had Me From Hello" is playing at the bottom of the page.......................................................then continue reading :-)
I would like to introduce you to Ms. Grace aka: Gracie, lil' momma, wonder woman.
She is my friend Felicia's daughter and someone whom we have come to love along with her whole family. Grace is a few months younger than AAsher, but you surely can't tell by looking at them. LOL AAsher is such a tiny little boy.
I know that many, many years from now when Gracie and AAsher are graduating high school, we will look back at these pictures and remember how it all got started.............

Indians, Pilgrims and Sock Monkey.......
Today was Wayllon's 3rd grade Thanksgiving day play. Wayllon was an indian and his best friend Shamar was a pilgrim. Wayllon is very shy when it comes to speaking in front of the class, but today, he had a rather large speaking part in the play. He was very loud and did an excellent job if I might say so myself :-)
Note the homemade vest (courtesy of Kroger's) and how colorful everything was on his costume. He says that the indians were not boring mom....... LOL
Today was also the day that AAsher received his handmade sock monkey knit hat in the mail. He REALLY likes the red balls that hang down on both sides. LOL Cutest sock monkey ever!!!
(Oh sweet baby boutique - facebook - tell her we sent ya....maybe I will get a discount or something :-))
He also got a bumbo chair today that a friend let us borrow. He is liking it very much!

A bit behind on posting.........
Where do I start???? So much has happened in the past few months, it seems to be going so darn fast!!
I guess the best thing to do is start where I left off and try to catch up :-)
AAsher has been working really hard on sitting up by himself....... we haven't fully mastered it just yet, but still making progress.
He has also figured out that McDonald's makes the BEST french fries!!
He just needs to figure out how to NOT miss his mouth. LOL
He has also been pushing his booty up in the air.....
This month also brought the end of Wayllon's fall baseball. They came a long way from the team that they started out as. Only ended up losing that very first game!! Undefeated through the rest of the season!! Woo Hoo!! October 17 we joined the Down Syndrome Association of Houston's Festival of Friends picnic. There were sooooo many families there!
Willy was learning how to balance basketballs :-)
Tomorrow we will catch up on the busy month of October :-) Very busy month, but you will love the pics!!!!

In September, a friend of mine, who I met through an online group that many of you may have heard of, baby center, and I, got together and started a community group for friends and families of someone who has Down Syndrome. Our first meeting was AMAZING!! We had about 22 families show up from the area!! It was kindof a meet and greet kind of thing, had pizza and just all talked. So, for our October meeting, we decided to get a bunch of baby pumpkins and let the kids paint them. It was so much fun!! Here are a few shots of some of the kiddo's.
I can't tell you how great this group has been for us!! So much information and support! We are so blessed to have aquired this whole new family to take this journey with. Next month we are doing a movie night. Toy Story 3!!
AAsher is 10 months old now and to celebrate his birthday, my friend Teresa sent him a t-shirt that she found. Fits him to a tee!! "Don't blame me, I was born AWESOME". :-) We think so too!

Baseball, bye-bye & birthday!
This weekend was pretty busy! AAsher turned 9 months old and has learned to wave bye-bye!!! Woo Hoo!! GOOOOOO AASHER!!
AAsher got a new outfit for his 9 month birthday! He loved the shoes, but wasn't so sure about the hat.......
He also got a new toy from his great aunt Kathy.
Wayllon had his first little league baseball game this weekend too. Fall ball and still over 100 degrees. Gotta love TEXAS!
He did really good, but his team lost :-(
